Death in seville

It is Holy week in Seville. Tourists are pouring into the city for the religious festivities to be followed by a fiesta of bullfights and parties. It really couldn't be a worse time for Detective Felipe Torillo and his team to be faced with what seems to be the work of a vicious serial killer.
For academic Maria Gutierrez, this was meant to be the start of a month spent studying police work. She wasn't supposed to get involved in the case. But suddenly, with the tide of fear in the ancient city rising, she has no choice.
Maria can see something in the ways of the killer that the police are missing. She finds herself caught up in the investigation as it plunges into a spiral of corruption, revenge and twisted sexuality. The clock is ticking in a race not just against time, but the blood-soaked history of Spain itself.
